libmng-1.0.0: description + notes

MNG is mostly about animations. It can do other things, but lets focus on web-content. Why would we need MNG? Well, there's animated-GIFtm, and we should by now all be understanding why GIF has lost it's appeal. So PNG can replace single-image GIFs, and MNG can replace animated-GIFs. As simple as that.

This package includes mng-view, a sample GTK+ application for viewing .mng files.

NOTE: Developers intending to use this distribution of libmng for application development should be sure to read the information below. Users installing libmng for the runtime environment only need not read any further.

Developers intending to use this library for development of other freeware packages or their own software applications will need to be familiar with a few peculiarities due to the way that this library is packaged and installed.
